Back in the pool at last

While nobody is going to mistake me for the icon above (check out that mustache!), I've made it to the pool twice in the last few weeks. The first time I did all of 300 yards, 50 yards at a time, and I thought it was the longest swim I'd ever done. Today I got up to 500 yards, still 50 at a time, and it wasn't so bad. My arms were tired at the end, and my back was thinking about cramping up, but overall, it was a good experience.

For those of you keeping score at home, my orthopaedic surgeon has told me I need a knee replacement for my right knee. This Is Not What I Expected. I'm in the process of seeing a second ortho doctor and my PT to see what they think.
